Book Clubs; free reviews

Its hard getting your work read. I came across a childhood friend that said she read my book. She told me it was the book of the month; memebrs pick through the book club she belonged to. I wasn't even aware that people still joined book clubs. From that day I have submitted inquiries to book clubs that love the genre I write in; Urban (street) Fiction. You'll be surprised at the outcome.

  1. Pick your book clubs that love the genre tyou write in.
  2. Send them a email with your bio attached,
  3. Synopsis of your book.
  4. Make sure it isn't stufyy.
  5. Put your personal touch to it.

When you do this, normally they will ask for other info about the book. Some clubs have submission requirements so check that out first. I had a friend build me a website and a book trailer. This is a great way to show what your book is about. Reviews are normally given and blogged or Amazon posted. Sending the head of the book club a gift maybe an author signed copy, a journal.

6. Offer to do a book discussion; online or in person.

7. Let them choose the place.

There are many free online meeting rooms or you can use web cams.

8. Always have questions for book discussions so that you know what to say.

Some book clubs may even promote a book signing for you.So make that move and send search for the book clubs that are your perfect fit.

shout out to book clubs....
